Back at the doctor's tomorrow.
Options: Vyvanse, or any other amphetamine derivative that is not dexedrine/adderall. Prefer once a day dosing - does Vyvanse really "last all day"?
I've been having this weird body-wide nausea thing when I get up lately I attribute to anxiety. I'm gonna have to fill that temazepam/restoril script to last me the week. Grr.
Hanging in there, the severe depression is gone but I've found even Xanax doesn't really take away anxiety as much as I remember it once doing. Just makes an already fatigued guy more fatigued/sleepy...
sigh.

Vyvanse is kinda wierd. I've taken Vyvanse and it usally only lasted about 7-8hours and then It would let off and it would still have "some" effects by 9pm at night. It's main effectss have left by then, but for some reason it still has a some effect on the brain. You won't feel stimulated at 9pm but you will notice that you are still active.
Vyvanse is suppost to last all day but for me it only lasted for 7 hours which where the "main" effects such as psychomotor stimulation and increased focus and dopamine. It's very difficult to deal with Vyvanse because it does stay in your system longer and who knows when all of it has left. Dexedrine Spansules last approx. 6-7 hours and then it "all" wears off leaving you feeling a bit washed out. This is why I always tended to redose after I felt wiped out with all of my energy drained.
Ask about Tranxene it suppost to last all day. Or Xanax XR you could take it in the morning when you took Vyvanse. Maybe even ask about Librium.
I took amphetamines for years years so I know exactly how they make you feel when your on them and when they wear off. Hopefully I will go back on them in a year or so.
I hope this advice helped ;)

If the xanax isn't doing the job as well anymore, I'd say switch to a less problematic benzo (valium, ativan, klonopin come to mind--or xanax xr). I'd personally add 3 grams niacinamide, but hey--I love the stuff.
Vyvanse is supposed to be an all day deal, but it seems like some people are on midday "boosters," so...I don't know what to tell you. I think the real appeal (for prescribers) is that its shiny and new. Dexedrine spansules seem like a cheaper option. There is Desoxyn, but I don't think that's prescribed very often, and I think its a 3x daily commitment.
Good luck!

Vyvanse lasts about 10-12 hours. I take mine when I wake up and usually feel a good deal of focus and less brain clutter. Usually at night it wears off and I start to feel all over the place. I think its a great drug, with a smooth delivery system and hardly any side effects.
