Vybrid - new ssri

Posted by alchemy on March 13, 2012, at 11:48:40

My dr. suggested that the next option is to try Vibryd. I'm currently on Celexa, and have been on different selections on the ssri menu off and on for many years. They r of minimal help, but I really doubt another ssri breed is going to make much of a difference.
Any stories from Vibryd?

I was hoping to hear some good experiences with Vybrid because my trial with it didnt go well.

My experiences were:

-Insomnia
-Sexual side effects
-Weird tripping feeling
-Seemed to impair sociability

As a result, I never made it to the recommended dose.

I thought the same before I started on Viibryd. Then it proved a more powerful treatment for my OCD than clomipramine had been.

I think what sets it apart is that it is a 5ht1a partial agonist, which make a great impact on depression and anxiety.
