milk thistle - antidepressant?

I've been feeling a lot better since taking milk thistle. Significant improvement in depression / anxiety and anhedonia

That is interesting. My dad used to take it for his liver and it worked well for that. Maybe your liver is functioning better, makng it more efficient at removing toxins , leaving your body better functiong... leading to you feelng better.

I'd say that if it makes you feel better, i wouldnt overanylise it too much, just take the relief and live!

For about 70 years we didnt know how or why aspirin releived pain, but it still gave a lot of people a lot of relief

Dont know if u take meds or not, but milk thistle shares the enzym group of alot of meds, inc clonazepam. This increases blood levels of such meds. Clonazepam is one. careful adjustments in all ur dosages should be explored.
Or, maybe cleaning out ur liver is leaving you feeling good and refreshed.
I would love to use Silymarin but I take to too many meds to risk it.
