Wouldn't be surprised if Teva is the best. I wouldn't be surprised if they're your only option, either.

yikes, i really thought that people who are taking prozac would be kind enough to look at their bottles and see which generic they take.
i don't discuss religion, politics and *they are all the same*.
maybe i asked this question in the wrong place? it would be ever so kind if someone would tell me if i did. thank you.

You're asking a very subjective question, so you're going to get very subjective answers. From my personal experience, a pharmacy tends to stick to a single generic drug manufacturer. Also, having spent a few months on board such as these, I don't think I've ever seen anyone gushing over a particular non-generic brand (the debates usually center on generic vs non.) I hope that answers your question. Please keep in mind that we have some very ill and disturbed posters here, some on the verge of requiring critical intervention. We simply don't have the resources to research various brands of generic Prozac at our current capacity. In the meantime, try to get your hands on some non-generic prozac, perhaps sometime we may be of more help in the near future. Thank you.

I wasnt trying to be rude, but i was trying to get across that the FDA required bioequivelence studies before generics are allowed on the market, so in the vast majority of cases, it doesnt matter which one you go with, the clinical effect will be the same, wether its genuian Eli Lilly Prozac, or a generic

i never asked anyone to *research* anything. please read my post regarding picking up your bottle of prozac and reading, no research there and you have to pick up the bottle anyway when you take your meds. so please don't say you don't have resources for something i never asked for. thank you.

hi briards-

for what it's worth my doc specifically wrote a rx for brand prozac.

in his experience he says there is a a big difference between brand prozac and ANY generic. he's been around a long time.

i know it doesn't answer your specific question, but i thought i'd let you know his thoughts.

good luck.

Made by Sandoz. The key is to get it through an independent pharmacy. Chain drug stores won't order a specific generic.
