My doc upped me to 15mg 4 days ago. I have been on 10mg for about 3 1/2 months. He had me splitting the pill 5mg in morning and night due to side effects. After about 3 months he had me take full 10mg in the morning and then upped me to 15mg in the morning this week. My anxiety seems to be he worst in the morning. I'll wake up 30 min before my Alarm goes off with my mind racing and can't go back to sleep. I'll feel that twinge in my body and usually the med seems to help that. As soon as I get out of bed I am fine but it starts my day off bAd. I guess my question is would taking it at night help? I did that in the beginning and didn't seem to make a huge diff except I was more tired when I took it at night. This did go away for about a month in takin lexapro. Does anyone else have this issue? I know I've been taking a full dosage at once for about 2 weeks now so it's not fully in my system yet but was just curious what you all thought. Thanks

If it makes you tired at night wouldn't it be better to take it then? I take all meds at night. Phillipa

Thanks, I am going to speak with my doc and see what he thinks. Also, when increasing dosage is it normal to have increased anxiety and/or depression?

maybe anxiety....i don't know about depression because sometimes SSRI's can cause anxiety in there first states of taking effect, some people can't take celexa i'v read because of anxiety.
Lexepro...its a good med, potent on serotonin, but if does cause some anxiety or worsens the conditions...paxil...or other SSRI's .. Prozac has worked really good for me....
check into Buspar maybe if anxiety comes from lexepro.

Maybe ask your doc for a script for some hydroxyzine (Atatrax)
Its a nan addictive anxiety med that might help overcome your problem if yiou took say 50mg at night and 50mg in the morning.

I just started it for the horrible anxiety I get from Ritalin, and it is really helping. Plus, it is a pretty darn safe drug. I'm lovin' it :)
