I'm on Day 4 or so of Lexapro 2.5mg for Melancholic Dep and some general anxiety. Paxil 9.5mg was about the ideal dose for me when it worked years ago. Higher doses such as 12.5mg would make me feel constantly sleepy. I have been on doses even as high as 20mg before and it was sleep-ville.So now with lexapro I am wondering what might be a similar dose to Paxil 10mg? I tried google but I can't find any charts. I guess I don't know the proper search terminology. It appears 10mg Lexapro ''might'' be it? But I have not found any clear answers.
So far I def notice I lay in bed more and am more sleepy through out the day but of course this is likely to pass. I intend to go up to 5mg and likely higher sometime soon.

Since I took l0mg of paxil and this was half of recommended starting dose at the time. I'm thinking that 5mg of lexapro would be the equivalent since lexapro l0 is considered theraputic? No science behind this. Phillipa
