Hi All.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum. But you guys might be able to give me a quick answer off the top of your head.
Would things like Baclofen, Pregabalin, Gabapentin, Vigabatrin and Tiagabine have cross tolerances.I have had bad depression / Anxiety most my life. Been hospitalized over 12 times and Baclofen is the only thing that helps me. But I get such a huge tolerance to it so quickly and keep pushing up the dose almost weekly to the point where its getting fully toxic.
Regards
FF

I think you said that you're taking 50-75 mg of baclofen. It could be that you could go a lot higher and not risk toxicity. Olivier Ameisen, author of The End of My Addiction, took 270 mg of baclofen a day, divided into three doses. He was only at this dose for ten days, and then slowly tapered until he got down to 120 mg a day. He's been taking this dose for about ten years now, and hasn't become tolerant to baclofen, and has remained abstinent.
But most people wouldn't be able to tolerate 270 mg of baclofen a day. Ameisen is a baclofen Superman. I got as high as 100 mg a day, and I don't see how I could have possibly tolerated a higher dose. Ameisen took months to get up to 270 mg. I think he would increase his dose by 5 mg once or twice a week. As you may know, it could be dangerous to stop taking baclofen suddenly. This can cause seizures. If you ever decide to get off it, do a slow taper.
This is the end of the thread.
