I've been prescribed Vyvanse for ADD and it greatly helps my ADD but also has had the unintended/unforseen awesome side effect of wiping out my depression! The sucky thing is my anxiety gets worse on it which I know is common, and I know Lyrica can be used to lessen the anxiety.
Does anyone know what dosages of Lyrica how many times a day would be good for killing anxiety on Vyvanse 50/60mg? I'm looking to stay on this combo long-term so any advice is appreciated! Thanks

ThanksI don't have any answers for you regarding the addition of Lyrica. However, I am interested to know what other anxiolytic drugs you considered and why you rejected them as a remedy for your anxiety.
I wish you luck. I am sure that you will find an effective combination.

I just read a little PubMed thing that said 450mgs/day was effective. Studies have gone as low as 150 and as high as 600. I imagine that Neurontin (gabapentin) could be helpful, too, at higher doses in 3x daily dosing.Good luck!

> - ScottI've tried a Benzo (Etizolam) with Vyvanse and it just made me weirdly sluggish + sedated, not very good.. I've also tried Celexa but it seemed to make me tired all the time and it lessened the effect of Vyvanse.
i was on nardil for about 2 months but it made me always tired and spacey

Good to know I'm not the only one that got extremely tired on Celexa! Does anyone else have advice on dosage ratios of Vyvanse or Adderall with Lyrica..? I have a psych appointment scheduled for the 17th for the first time ever because i've had so many failed med trials and alot of my symptoms at least i think fit atypical depression/Bipolar II so im waiting to hear what she says but until then i need something like this combo to keep me from being a depressed/anxious/moody zombie! so hard to wake up in the morning and i keep zoning out entirely even in conversations i care about.. might be anhedonia ive had for a while too.
on that seperate BPII note, does anyone have any advice on which med combo worked for them by stabilizing their mood but also helping their depression/anxiety and energy levels? I've heard Zyprexa and other atypical antipsychotics can be great for bipolar II depression with or without an SSRI like Zoloft but it'd be great to hear some first hand reports!
