if a slightly higher dose of klonopin can be used rather than an atypical anti psychotic and get the same results ..would not it be better to use the klonopin rather than a heavy hitter..evev if tapering eventually may be an issue

klonopin is safer and much cheaper than atypicals, but psychiatry isn't rational. Kind of like you could give lots of depressed people Ritalin, instead of trial after trial of AD drugs, but...again...rationality isn't really psychiatry's "thing" right now, you know?
If you have the option, I'd go for a decent dose of clonazepam over an atypical any day of the week.

Yeah, of the two choices, I would favor klonopin.

yea it seems like a typicals pose much greater risk..diabetes etc...yet they are handed out like candy...when reading this site I take 2.5 total klonopin daily and am starting to get scared taking it...never above sometimes below that
