Russian meds for anxiety

Posted by jpa on November 8, 2013, at 17:29:45

I'm looking for an effective alternative to phenibute to control anxiety, but that can be taken long-term.

Are any of the other Russian meds, like Adaptol, Afobazol or Tenoten, worth trying? Does anyone have any experience with any of these meds?

Yeah, but I forget :)

Afobazol interested me most. Nothing outstanding though. Didn't try Tenetol. What's Adaptol?

I started taking adaptol last night. It's not a sugar pill that's for sure, but its not as good as phenibute. I can feel it doing something, but not sure if its an improvement?? Will give it another week or so before I pass judgment.

Afobazol works very well for my anxiety. I've been taking it for just a little over two weeks and it has killed my anxiety. I take 10mg 3 times a day (as suggested by manufacturer) and with 50mg of trimipramine at night. I have been largely anxiety free for about a week. That is the best outcome I've had in a very long time and I have tried just about every med available in north America. Manufacturer suggests staying on for two to three months followed by a washout period of 1 to 2 weeks. Will post later to follow up.

The cyrillic is a problem. I have Afobazol and Noopept. I think I know which is which.

I recall it worked. I must take what I have left.

10mg 3 times a day. OK.

Yep, 10mg three times a day. Good luck. Let us know how it works.

It's OK, isn't it?

In benzo naive patients it might do more?

What's the sigma thing?

I actually enjoyed some of today which is saying something.

Afobazol has a very short half life (they say on wiki), but I guess that might not mean anything. LSD has a short half life.
