well...i went to the doctor today...i am on the following:
Prozac 60mgs
Lamictal 400mgs
Zyprexa 20mgs
Nuvigil 250mgsbut see, nuuuies are expensive, VARY expensive, its in above 200dollers for 1 presciption, its crazy....and now my mom just switched insurance, because the one before refused to pay for it, and now im having to wait till tommorow to see if their going to pay for it. So, im going to be on the negative side, and be ready for them not to pay for it, and if they do, lucky me. Still this is so hard~!! i was prescibed nuvigil because of my low energy depression, and now i have drink LOTS of coffee, and red bull...its just crappy, i hate it.
does anyone know what .... can be done? maybe if i wnet to medicare they would pay for it?r

Does it help? As you know, it's not a antidepressant, but it's supposed to promote wakefulness in narcolepsy and other sleep disorders. They may be refusing this off-label use. I imagine most people would feel tired on so much Zyprexa, and possibly so much Prozac and Lamictal as well. Do you find that these high doses are more effective than lower doses eg. Zyprexa 10mg, Lamictal 200mg, Prozac 20mg?

i'm on 400mgs of lamictal, the doctor was the one who told me i should be on the dose, she said the target dose for lamictal is 400mgs for bipolar, even thought im not bipolar, but its documented in my psych report that schizoeffective was what i have. They did this through a test where you take 300 questions on a computer, asking your silly questions like do you like to get of bed, do you have alot friends, do you get anxiety, thats stuff...and took a IQ test, had to put puzzles together in a certain amount of time.
they gave me clozapine in the psychiatric hosputal i stayed in 2010....they moved me to zyprexa, clozpaine is too much for me, it's too strong, can't think clear
but still my mom is trying to get it filled right now at the pharmacy....she said she had a Nuvigil card, i think you get like 1 prescription free....but im not keeping my hopes up because the previous insurance refused it, and i hope this insurance doesnt do it.
thanks ed

the thing is ... i get in severe agigiated states, and now i think of it, yes there where tests that where taken and they said i was bipolar....that is a correction, that was just my personal opionion of it but now that i look at the psych report, and realize what these rush states i get in...and it does make since, thats why i take lamictal at 400mgs, it does calm my thoughts, with zyprexa so im leveled right now, im in a good state, but still trying to keep jobs is vary hard, and i've been having to work with others to help, but im vary intrested in goal setting, and improving.
but i don't know do you think it would help if i decresed my meds?
