Hi everyone. I have been on low dose amisulpride for almost a week now, to see if it would help with my anhedonia and depression. I started out on 25mg but the last few days went up to 50mg to see what would change, if anything.
So all of the stories I've heard seem like people experience a fairly rapid and noticeable change within a week for sure, generally more in the range of a few days. I also hear that if the dose isn't titrated correctly, and wound down to like 25mg alternating days, it can poop out quickly. I have noticed a very subtle change but mostly in my stability/stress tolerance level, not in overall mood or enjoyment. One thing that is promising is that I have had a few instances of more increased focus and motivation, which is enough to make me want to stay on it. However, I am concerned since the effect is so subtle, concerned about it just pooping out again.
Does anyone know for depression/anhedonia what they feel when the dose is too high/too low? Perhaps it is becoming less effective now that I moved up to 50mg? I think I will move back down to 25mg, and then down again if I see it becoming less effective. But I don't know what I should be looking for in terms of signs of it working better/worse at different doses.
I also have been having an odd side effect of pins and needles in my hands mostly, and mostly at night. Has anyone had this?
I am thinking of chosing something to augment with - I saw some posts about the amisuplride/Adrafinil or modafinil combo, and was also thinking of tianeptine. They both should be fine/safe to try. I am especially interested in Tianeptine because in theory it should be healing and reversing stress caused damage. I'm through with medications that just cause dependence and burn out my neurotransmitters - I'm fairly certain that my current anhedonic state was brought on by years and years of various antidepressants. I'm a lot more comfortable with the meds I mentioned because they don't seem to do as much long term damage as say, SSRIs.
If anyone has any comments or stories of combinations with amisulpride please let me know.

HI bearinthewoods
Can you update us on your amisulpride experience? I am starting up myself with a number of the same issues. So far last two days tried 25-50mg per day but taking a break today.
Was it ever effective for you, and in what way, and at what dose?
This is the end of the thread.
