A very eminent mathematician and a Professor of Anesthesiology have spent 20 years trying to persuade their colleagues that consciousness is a quantum process. Now they have new evidence that appears to support their case. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/01/140116085105.htm

Can quantum theory show us a cure for depression?
Answer. No. imo
Being open minded, ok, maybe a slight chance someday. That doesn't help me now.
I haven't seen quantum theory do anything meaningful in all my decades, so I am not sure why I would believe them.
The word "theory" all by itself, pretty much ends the discussion.
