My doctor couple weeks ago put me on 400mgs, and i've told her many times about my anxiety and agitation, she won't use benzos because of my history with abuse, but see that's not fair, and Lamictal is being used offlabel to control the chaos i have in my mind, and she said if it continues she will slowly move me to 500mg, but still im under observation, i mean that is a high dose, it's vary high, the diagnosis i have is schizoeffective, manic depression....
still has anyone heard of a dose like this?

benzos where not my abuse, it was the amphetamines, the doctor simply said if I had abuse problems with anything she's not going to prescribe anything....
i'm on strong medication right now, and I hope I don't have to go 600mgs of lamictal...but If I do maybe its for the best

400 mgs of Lamictal is high and if its not helping with the 'chaos' in your mind, its not likely 500 mg will help.
Schizoaffective is a combination of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. You would not be diagnosed bipolar concurrently.
