Transitioning back to Xanax from Klonopin

Posted by ClearSkies on September 4, 2014, at 20:10:09

As my anxiety seems to be short lived situational experiences now, as opposed to a constant state. I think this is good. And related to the lifestyle changes I am making. Interesting that I am feeling moods and emotions shift so early on in my life transition.

I think I never want to be married ever again. That might be what has been making me so batshit crazy.

lol...marriage=batshit crazy. I can see that being the case for some of us.

Ever tried Xanax xr? haven't myself, but it seems worth a shot, maybe. I don't know if its all day or just a twice daily deal.

Anyway...good luck!

that is great news!

i think... sometimes finding ourself... or being true to ourself... or something like that... sometimes that is the answer. hard to get to do that, though.

anyway... glad you are doing well.

Since xanax is shorter lived and not as strong as klonopin you might have to play with you dose. Careful on the klonopin withdrawal. But in all seriousness klonopin depressed me and xanax has an antidepressant property. Phillipa

My doctor has me on a pretty strict transition regimine and asked to call if I feel any ill effects. The nature of the anxiety has already changed, so I am hoping the medication change will be a good one.
And today IS moving day. Did not sleep well at all!

Did he give you a conversion you know like x amount of xanax = x amount of klonopin? Imagine you are exhausted. Phillipa

I am actually doing OK and had a good night's sleep, the first in months. I am cautiously doing OK. The cat is more freaked out at this point than I am. I moved some pieces of furniture around and it is not as much of an obstacle course, LOL.

Must still be running on nervous energy, but no longer weepy or anxious. Something is working: meds, therapy, environment, shift in thinking. If I can do it - overcome these enormous fears - just think!!

The conversion the doctor gave me was one to one, perhaps because of how I have the dosages split already. I have not noticed a difference in the change over except for the more immediate effect that Xanax gives, which was what I wanted.

If 1 to 1 can you break the xanax and take it more frequently. Yes it does work fast also.

Today I am all switched over. Klonopin had started to feel like a heavy weight to me.
