i'm not familiar iwth this med but i've read couple people have taken it, all i know is it really puts someone to sleep, but it wears off vary quickly....some sources say it's one of the potent benzos.......they use it for jet lag, i guess to take it and have a 2 hour nap and then it wears off.....

anyone know about halcion?

i'm not sure, but i think it's the shortest acting benzo of all. If it has rapid onset of action, that would make it excellent for panic attacks

shortly after it hit the market in the 80s, there were case reports of suicides, psychosis, paranoia, rage, etc. Its rarely prescribed, and the doses available are lower than the ones that were on the market initially.

Triazolam is a benzodiazepine drug. It possesses pharmacological properties similar to that of other benzodiazepines, but it is generally only used as a sedative to treat severe insomnia. In addition to the hypnotic properties triazolam possesses, amnesic, anxiolytic, sedative, anticonvulsant and muscle relaxant properties are also present. Due to its short half-life, triazolam is not effective for patients that suffer from frequent awakenings or early wakening.
