Lithium experiences? Please list side effects :)

So I was on Zoloft for 1 year in remission and now I'm screwed because I reached a tolerance.

I was looking at mood stabilizers because I have very little left to try.

I have major depression but my family history has some bipolar disorder. I don't have any hypomania or mania though.

If you could list effects, and any side effects along with whether you can drink alcohol I would appreciate it :)
