I don't know about studies. But I can vouch from personal experience that its a great AD. Before all the meds thats all I wanted for a couple years. An IV of the stuff.
I have seen on YouTub about using it as an AD.

I know a young man who takes small daily doses of "shrooms" (psyiocibin I guess) for depression and swears by it. Don't know about LSD. My memory from years ago is that LSD is harsher than shrooms.

I wouldnt recommend this. The risks outweigh the benefits?
You may teach your brain how to be psychotic. You dont want to do that!

I think there has been more research with mushrooms than with LSD. I think the benefit has been in OCD.

LSD was used in drug-faciliated therapy (I'm guessing some flavor psychoanalysis) in the 50s-60s. Not sure how well that went, but maybe The Google has some old data?

there are studies with psilocybin to treat depression and to treat end of life anxieties for people with terminal illnesses. There seems to be a good rate of success. There is a studies for both at NYU right now. I'm attempting to contact them.

I think psilocin is used, which is the pure active drug in psilocybin. There are many strange compounds in shrooms
