my dr stopped lamictal over a 2 month period..100 to 50 then stopped .......Lexapro was also started around the same time...3 months later terrible headaches...which is the culprit...any thoughts.....dr. says no to lamictal.....i'm wondering

I dunno man. Withdrawing a long term drug could be the problem. It could be the addition of the AD. Could be a combination of the two...any other changes, like changes in your benzo dosing? Stress>

I tend to agree with C_E.
I really don't know what's causing what. I would definitely look at the headache as a possible startup side effect of Lexapro. The manufacturer lists headache as occurring 24% of people on Lexapro compared to 17% for placebo. That is a significant difference. I just don't know whether or not it is dosage-dependent. Let's hope that the headaches disappear quickly.

only other change went back to Ativan from klonopin but all was fine there this occurred few months later.......stress-tension -cluster headache....possibly...seeing dr in a week
sad thing is mentally feeling pretty good

seems to be a migraine type headache...nausea etc
