Hey guys..

i have seen that NRX-1074 can be bought ahead of time. And Glyx-13 probably as well.

NRX-1074 is more potent than GLYX-13 and is taken orally. I would like to see this one come out first.

Also, there is a ketamine metabolite, hydroxynorketamine (HNK), that can be taken orally. It seems to work, despite not acting at NMDA receptors.

I hope you find your healing in one of these drugs. Your chances are pretty good. I believe more people respond to ketamine than don't respond.

Most people have the BDNF genotype: val66val

val66val = best chance to respond to ketamine
val66met = medium chance to respond to ketamine
met66met = worst chance to respond to ketamine

I tried intranasal ketamine. I experienced no response at all. Perhaps I am met66met. A friend of mine responded robustly to it within a few days.

I hope so, too, Scott.

Can it take a test for val66val?

Does HNK cause any psychosis like its parent Ketamine?

Maybe HNK can be bought at a reasonable price.

Orally active?

No. This is one of its most attractive features. It doesn't influence NMDA receptors like ketamine does.

> Maybe HNK can be bought at a reasonable price.

It is too early in development. I don't think you can find it anywhere.

> Orally active?

Yes. If HNK really works, it would represent a whole new direction in drug development.

You can try intranasal ketamine instead of IV. I know of a few people who do well with it. I did not. It didn't help. It didn't hurt. $70 will get you two months' worth from a compounding pharmacy.

Why not just take ketamine instead of those expensive analogues that are in developpement? Piracetam is reported to not inhibit the therapeutic effect of memantine, it blocks the hallucinogenic effects of ketamine but should not interfere with the therapeutic effect look at its mechanism, if you don't wonna trip piracetam may be the solution.

Hi,

I'm new here, so sorry for any newbie mistakes I might make.

First, I wanted to respond to someone's suggestion about taking piracetam as a substitute for Ketamine or Glyx-13. I would be careful with piracetam because it may induce depression in some.

Next, I have found a website that offers glyx-13. (I don't want to link to it here but you can find it easily in a Google search.) I am thinking of buying some but the problem is it will still have to be prepared in IV solution and administered. Does anyone know how I might find a medical professional who would be willing to do this?

This would be for my husband, who is suffering greatly. He will not take Ketamine because he's too scared and all other treatment avenues have not worked or are not appropriate. He is willing to try Glyx. It's a last ditch effort to turn his suffering around. Any suggestions?

Believe me I know how hard it is to wait for these things, at one point I begged my shrink for ECT, he had never given it to anyone before but arranged it for me in case his last try failed.
Fortunately it did not fail.

One alternative is to go to a Ketamine Clinic ?!

At least this is done under the guidance of a qualified anaesthatologist.

We are talking Ketamine here as opposed to the tweaked GLYX-13.

I cannot recommend any but if you do a google search, there are surprisingly many of them.
