Being a good actor

Posted by linkadge on July 9, 2021, at 11:36:10

Is it possible to be a 'good actor' and completely contain any symptoms you might be having? For example, if one was manic, but did not want to be put on a mood stabilizer (or taken off an antidepressant) is it possible for them just to act normal?

I.e. is it possible for a manic person to just act normal, or is this impossible with full blown mania?

ill go ahead write this, when was high on stimulants, patriculary dex or methamphetamine i was defeintly high but i could act down to earth, but it's like you have all this energy and rush, but you can contain it, but it's a bit diffuclt because it makes you overflooded with dopamine and serotonin to where your feeling high and enthusastic, but if your in situation where you have to act normal, say like any normal place, it is possible. It's like you put away energy, or suppress it, even though your feeling all of it. Methamphetamine can make you calm, and act normal (and im using that as an example, not a suggestion) but being high on crack cocaine would be difficult to suppress. It makes you crazy, and when you feel crazy it's hard to suppress and to disquise as acting normal. It takes teqniques to suppress mania like sympptoms to act normal, because all this energy and enthusiasm is happening with the nuerotransmitters

being high on norephinphrine from a drug is difficult, because it makes you irrtible and stressed, over alert

I think it is possible, but not easy. I think you would have to concentrate in order to maintain the "mask" outwards, and it is easy to get distracted when you are manic.
