antidepressant

Posted by rjlockhart37 on July 11, 2021, at 21:18:05

i've been wondering why now if i don't take lamictal i get depressed even on prozac. Right now i took 200mg lamictal a while ago and im doing better with depression. Still there's lingering and thoughts that torment. If i don't have lamotragine now with prozac, i fall into depresssion

did the body adapt to lamotragine? to where it considered it normal in the body, and when it's removed it causes depression. I'm on 400 of lamictal. Any responses would be nice

400mgs lamictal seems more like the dosage for hypomania, maybe to help suppress mania. or you shrink wants to shut you up.

over the long haul, it does seem that some people on antidepressants need higher dosages, additional drugs, etc. it...seems to be becoming ever more common, since everybody is being medicated.

if you can tolerate the lamictal and it helps, I don't see a reason to over-think it or anything. if you are having or have had adverse effects, maybe...supplements, to boost the prozac?

no no no im trying to say i take all this dosage, i this is kinda over thinking but lamictal seems to pull me out of depression, but still i get depressed as hell even on it. I can feel the antidepressant effect sometimes then other times its bad. I read lamictal stablizes nuerons, and helps bipolar depression. Like rexulti

i think the lamictal works with prozac, prozac is a good antidepressant, i think the work with synergy but lamictal keeps me from going crazy or scatter brained

the dosage i take, was the only dosage that we could get a response, i went years depressed, finally my doctor bumped prozac to maximum, same thing with lamictal. I'm not at all saying i take all this dose, i took years to find a antidepressant cocktail to get me out of severe depression

like today, my second dose of lamictal got me out of depression this afternoon. I woke up, i wasnt really depressed, but it was kind like in between being depressed and normal. And normal meaning feeling content or acutally enjoying life. It took the 2nd dose to lift the depression off. But i do think lamictal works as antideressant, i don't how it works to help depression but it does

Hi RJ:

Have you thought about adding either a stim (I know you said your doctor cut that out) or a lighter stim effect say with desipramine, or nortriptyline? Seriously....the prozac and either of those last two might/should give you a boost. Even just in small doses.

Best,
Jay

doctor doenst really work much with depression, 80mg of pro has been the depression fighter. I'll tell you what happened, i was taking nuvigil and diazepam till october 2020.

I was taking phenibut and i grew so adapted to it, when it was cut off i went through severe withdrrawls, i had to go to a psych. They put on Librium 200mg skyrocket dose, they wrote in the report i was using phenobarbital, even though i told them phenibut they thought i was taking high doses of phenobarbital, that's why they skyrocked'd librium.

After that, my doctor was mad and she cut me off nuvigil and diazepam. So, this is result of what happened. I don't know why she doenst work with me but that's the way it is, i need to fire or get new doctor. I'm sick and tired of going in and she just ignore everything i say, i'm really getting furious and wanting to fire. Anyays that's what happening.

my current psych says wellbutrin and prozac work nicely together. i'd be afraid of seizures, because...well, its rare until it happens to you...but thought I'd mention that. :-)
