Hey folks:
I still remember taking the original immediate release Effexor..I think I had to take it 3x a day??
And...my god...what fresh hell was that? I remember taking my first few fat tablets..and I very closely exploded!! 75mg dumped into the blood..OMG! I swore to *never* touch that stuff again, yet here I am, on 225 mg XR for about 5 years. I still f'ing hate the stuff, but nothing better has come along.Anybody remember taking those big round Effexor IR's?

yeah i know, and effexor withdrawls are hell. It's half life is incredibly short, it's the same thing with wellbutrin before they came out with the XL form. You had to take wellbutrin 3 times a day, in immidate release, but still effexor is potent and have withdrawl feelings in just a couple hours

effexor is a potent anti-depressant, but it has the worst withdrawls. It's half life is short, and requring the XR form as a standard dose. Before the XR version of effexor it must of been tedious to take it 3 times a day, feeling it wear off and going through mild mood swings until the next dose was taken
