i've been watching the boards and the lithium orotate posts
i also read the paper by the post doc candidate, saying orotates are toxic
then it occured to me that with so many people trying the stuff there should by now be some reports of side effects/toxicity
so you guys any stories about it being bad????? all i've seen posted is positive or neutral
thanks

Can you tell me where this is? Since I am taking this stuff, with very good results, btw, I would like to read this paper. This has been the thing that has worked better for me than anything else and I'm going to be pretty bummed if I learn that I'm actually slowly killing myself or something. Of course, maybe better slowly than quick and ugly like I used to think about many times before I got leveled out, right? That was a joke, sort of....

For some reason, not clear to me, they settled on lithium carbonate and lithium chloride. Studies in rats showed that orotate is toxic to the kidneys, so perhaps the "effectiveness" of lithium orotate is mediated by blocking excretion....not a good thing, if that's how it "works".

> thanksYou should check for posts by barbaracat. She had a really bad experience with it. Now, she's bipolar, and she needs lithium. She totally decompensated when she substituted lithium orotate for lithium chloride (or was it the carbonate?).
