question about ginseng

Posted by zeugma on October 19, 2003, at 16:37:59

I have problems with low energy, and I've heard that ginseng can be useful for that symptom. I bought some Salada green tea that has Siberian ginseng, 87.5 mg per cup. My main concern is whether this will interact with the meds I take. I'm also trying to get away from caffeine. I take two NE reuptake inhibitors (nortriptyline and atomoxetine) and am concerned about too much stimulation causing insomnia, which is why I have to avoid caffeine after morning. Any interactions I should be aware of? Is ginseng in green tea a good delivery system?

The book I linked in this post...

...had quite a few pages devoted to what ginseng does.

Thanks, I'll check out that book (nm) » DSCH
