It's been linked to severe liver disease. Rare, but serious, side-effect.

There is a funny thing happening with Kava. Some of the vitamin/herb companies (in the USA ) are facing an insurance face off. The insurance companies are going to cancel the insurance policies of vitamin/herb companies if they sell and carry Kava. So you see it's a difficult situation for the companies to keep supplying Kava. I have never seen this ever happen before. I love Gaia Herb company's Kava. I am holding my breath to see what happens.
