Some supplements contain artificial colors. Some also have wax, and a number of other things. Any chance the ingrediants in allery pills such as claritin D or vitamins, supplements, etc. can cause a problem?
Claritin D has many inactive ingredient(why have them if they don't do anything beneficial) in it.
Under Inactive ingredients it list carnauba wax, dibasic caclium phosphate, ethylcellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, pharmaceutical ink, polyethylene glycol, povidone, silicon dioxide, sugar, titanium dioxide, white way.----
My supplements just have so much crap in them, from caramel coloring, to yellow dye number whatever, and all manner of things that aren't necessary. That is rather irritating. And why have so many inactive ingrediants with everything? If you don't need them, just find some harmless thing to use as filler or give the small amount of whatever it is to someone in a mostly empty gel capsul. I realize what we take from any pill is only a small bit of what we want, and the rest filler because otherwise the pill would be too small to pick up without tweezers.

Just noticed someone else posted about dyes, and followed a link to various information.
Yellow 5 lake, and yellow dye number 5, also known as tartrazine, are pure evil and will destroy us all!
http://www.thealmightyguru.com/Pointless/FoodDye.htmlI kept having irritation of my eye lids, and didn't realize why. It was only when I drank a lot lemonade, which has yellow 5 lake in it. So I gave that up.
Did you know some eggs have this hazardous dye fed to the chickens so their egg yokes have a more yellow color? I'm going to have to check what brands I buy.

Wolf Dreamer,Yes, there are brands out there that do go the artifical route to get more vivid yolks in chicken eggs. Fortunately there are farms that still add African or Aztec Marigold (Tagetes erecta) petals to the feed to achieve the bright colour in the yolks.

Does anyone have pictures of what the yoke will look like if contaminated by the evil that is yellow dye number 5?
I found some on the iceland site, but my egg yokes look differant than any of those.
They are a darkest greenish tinted grey color on the outside, yellow on the inside when the yoke is broken over.
Does anyone know what that means?
I boil eggs and eat the egg whites all the time. Does the dye only get into the yokes by some chance? I mean, the egg white isn't yellow.

I've read that caramel color is natural and safe, but everything else will slowly kill you or drive you insane.

I don't know of a sure way to know what has been fed to the chickens that laid your eggs.....if you can find them, free range eggs are better for you, tastier, and virtually guaranteed to be free of "additives".
