> I'm a big fish-hater too. From what i understand, supplements (if you find a good one--a lot of drugstore brands are crummy) work better than trying to just eat a lot of stuff with omega-3's in it. Who would want to eat that much fish anyway?

However, i'm in college now and without my mom to put out tons of vitamins for me every morning i've been slacking on taking them (plus it's fairly expensive). Since i stopped taking them i saw a rebound of my depression and am now on effexor (sigh). If i could remember to take all the vitamins every day i probably wouldnt need the prescription drugs (when i was taking the fish oil i wasnt on any psych meds and did fine moodwise). Even at smaller doses than the 10 gels a day i was on you'd probably see improvements. Their website is:

When you take omega3, isnt necessary to use omega 6 at same time? I read it somewhere that one needs each other tu work properly. So?

most people already have too much omega 6 (nm)

I don't know anythign about omega-6, but I have been urged by my doc to use fish oils for years now.
I finally relented, partially because he mentioned a product called "The Very Finest Fish Oil" put out by Carlson. No capsules and no fish taste. It tastes like lemon (OK, really more like it has a hint of lemon flavored Pine Sol in it, but it beats fish in my book).

I don't know how long it will take to do anything (been on it for like 3 days) or even if it will do anything, but it wasn't too expensive, and I figured it could be worth a shot.....

BTW: How long, in general, does it take before one feels the wonderful mood stablizing effects of fish oil? <giggle>?
