This post begs for a joke, but I will restrain myself.
:-)
Hi Linkadge.
Is there a particular area of the skull that you focus on? I have an old 8" dual voice coil subwoofer. Do you think the speaker magnet would be strong enough? What did you use?

Yeah I used a stationary speaker magnet. I found a calming effect by rubbing the right frontal cortex for about half an hour.

I hope don't sound too blonde, but what is a stationary magnet? I'm assuming I can't just stick some refridgerator magnets on my head.
My hubby has a big magnet he uses at consctruction sites to pick up nails on the ground. Would that work? Or would that be a little strong?
I'm not being a smarta$$, really. I just think it's interesting and would like to try it.

Hi.
Just in case it seems too odd an idea, I think Linkadge is drawing on the precedents set by the clinical trials of rTMS used for depression, a procedure that uses a powerful electromagnetic coil placed on the skull and used in a manner similar to ECT. It induces a current in the brain tissue.

I'm just talking about any powerful magnet that is not an electromagnet. I really do thing it does something.
Think of it this way, if you get a powerful magnet within a metre of a TV set it goes all wonkey, who's to say that it couldn't effect the circuty in our brain. I found it profoundly calming.
