Sorry for jumpin in here, but i've tried piracetam and felt like offering my thoughts.
The bottom line is I felt it did nothing for me....I took it in conjunction with tryptophan and hydergine but no change at all.
Having said all that, i've yet to find ANYTHING which really has a solid impact on my symptoms!!

Cant remember is the honest answer, but whatever it suggested on the packet with 1 gram a day of tryptophan.
Crazy thing is i've been quietly improving for a while now and yet i'm taking nothing......the "cure" for me seems to be sheer determination and bloody mindedness! Sometimes our own worst enemy is our own mind.

I've looked over the data on this and other nootropics, and I am intrigued. They seem to offer benefit at little (if any) risk. Were I not financially constrained, I would likely give one or the other of the -acetams a go.

I'm going to try and find a review article that discusses the relative efficacy of the -acetams. I really don't know how to compare one to the other, yet.
