I am full of questions tonight. I drank a red bull drink yesterday and boy did it pep me up. A little too much I think. How much caffeine does this stuff have in it. I dont think it said on the can. I am drinking other energy drinks that help with energy, but the red bull has more vitamins in it than the ones I usually drink. I am also wondering if it has alot of caffeine. I like the other ones better than the red bull, unless I am preparing for a marathon! lol

Red Bull has 80 mg caffeine, about the same as a cup of coffee, plus something like 7 teaspoons sugar. Also has taurine and other stuff. Some people dropped dead from drinking too much of it, so it's banned in some countries including Canada. Here's a link about it

What I don't understand is, if the caffeine is the same as coffee, then why does the govt claim it has excessive caffeine? Nobody is banning starbucks.

Well I can maybe see a death from drinking four cans straight and then playing a competitive sport, but as for a can a day, I would think it is safe. The caffeine issue isnt really that big of a deal for me if it only contains what is in a cup of coffee, heck, I drink 10 cans of pepsi a day. I dont see it as being much worse, except you are getting vitamins with it unlike pepsi.
