I recently stopped 5htp ( I found it very helpful)
due to bad palpatations.
I get hayfever and had been taking a nasal spray containing xylometazoline hydrocloride.
After a sniff I got bad palpatations...so..I checked online and discovered it can cause this.
Taking 5htp + the nasal spray greatly increases the symptoms of heart ahrritymias.
So I've now stopped the spray..and will try again the 5htp only around the time of my period.
Hopefully things will turn out ok.

>I hope that works. Have you tried niacinamide? It shares certain biochemistry with tryptophan, 5-HTP, et al. It directly blocks histamine release, and has a calming effect.
