Is one brand of fish oil as good as the next? I've been taking the kind at Wal-Mart, Spring Valley. It's about $6 for 120 enteric coated capsules. Is this as good as the brands that have higher concentrations of EPA/DHA?
I haven't found any high EPA brands that come in enteric coated. I don't want to have fishy burps, and I haven't had them with this brand.

Distilled fish oils seem to be a good bet.

Hi. I take a brand of fish oil that says "Naturally Inspired." I've been wondering what that meant, and I suspect it means it's not really fish oil, but some kind of synthetic. Since I don't know what to expect from taking fish oil, real or synthetic, I don't know if it's doing me any good or not. But I suppose it is at least free of mercury.

My doctor says that the best brand of fish oil is Carlson Complete. It is in liquid form and the fish come from Norwegian deep water, which is supposedly free from mercury.
