Somebody told me that green tea contains significant amounts of aluminum. Is there any truth to this. Should I limit my green tea based on this ??

There's more aluminum in chocolate than in tea, and even that is not a concern.
Green teas are always young leaves, and the younger the leaves, the less metal in them. Very inexpensive tea called brick tea (sold mostly in the Orient) has high aluminum and fluoride levels. And *that's* only a problem for the consumers because of the uses to which that tea is put. It's part of the diet, not just a beverage.
Anyway, the catechins and polyphenols in green tea complex any aluminum so strongly that it's almost non-absorbable.
The benefits greatly exceed the risks.

It was noted that some of the catchens (sp) in the green tea inhibit COMT, which degrades norepinephrine. What would the half life of this action be. Would one cup/day increases norepinephrine to a stead state level, or would more cups/day be needed.

I don't know if there is enough catechin in green tea to affect cerebral NE levels. There are green tea concentrates. Maybe one of those might work? You'd also be getting a lot of other stuff, too. Not just catechins.
