> well since I dont know if Ill be able to pay for anything prescribed or a doc when I get married and end my wonderful coverage under my parentals, I decided to search for herbal remedies. I found a site on Amoryn. It sounds too good to be true. It has a combination of St. Johns wort and Sam-e and other vitamins too. Does anyone know about this? how can I trust herbal remedies? can i try them a little at a time with my prescribed lexapro to see and then like wean off Lex? ahhhhh!!! I need answers. thanks all.

I would also be interested in other people's experience with Amoryn.

I've recently been "weaned" from Paxil (I had to do it very slowly using the liquid, decreasing 1 mg/week), and then was prescribed Lexapro. I was on 5 mg of Lexapro for 3 weeks but was not having any success and had side effects like shakiness, agitation, feelings of rage, etc. My doctor took me off the Lexapro and told me to go cold turkey for a week. Afterwards, I realized that not only had my anxiety increased, but now I was depressed as well! I decided to try Amoryn as a possible last resort. I've been taking 2 capsules per day for a week, and I must say that I feel pretty good! The anxiety and depression have decreased, though not completely. I will continue to take it for a while longer to see if my condition improves. As for side effects, I only noticed slight headaches for the first few mornings when I woke up, but now they've subsided. I don't know if they were caused by the Amoryn or stopping the Lexapro. If this works, I will be one grateful person! I'll keep posting with updates...

Have you gone to Kelly's SJW site? It's at http://www.sjwinfo.org/. You can post something or do a search there as they have had discussions about it there.
