I took citrus bioflavinoids with rutin for a few days recently and experienced severe water retention during those days. Interested in hearing if this is a common side-effect, or if something else more than likely caused the retention?

Considering that rutin is supposed to be a treatment for edema, I'd be looking at something else as the cause. It could be, though, that you were having a mild allergic response to something in the tablets.
