Is there really a connection? Or have I just had exceedingly bad luck?

I'm not sure if Beano would help you with heartburn or not as it's designed to break down sugars in gas producing foods. If you're having alot of burps..... I guess try it and if it works... well, there ya go.
I'm sorry I can't really be of much help. Cal Mag effects me, ah, lower in the GI tract that that's where I find it intolerable. I used it for a while without problems and then, I was intolerant.
Sorry to hear of your problems with it, too.

Well, it may have been gas rather than acid, to tell the truth. Probably was.
I'll give it another shot.

No? That the Beano wouldn't help?
More detail please, Ms. Dinah...

That it probably wasn't the cause of the problem
I'll try again. I had been afraid to, it hurt so darn much.
This is the end of the thread.
