Vit, supplements holiday?

Those of you who routinely take these, do you take holidays, similar drug holidays?

I'm not too thrilled and am experiencing intolerance, at present, with even my tried and true and I feel like stopping all "additions" and seeing how that goes.

Once I in a while I skip a day or two but that's about it. I'm not taking any herbs right now where you would need to take a break though.
Are you going to give up your salmon oil too?

Hi Kara,

I think I will be continuing the Salmon Oil and cut back a bit on the amount I'm taking. I've hit a bit of a rough patch - which happens - and I've been doing some playing around with things that I don't think are making me feel well. There's mood symptoms and physical symptoms as well.

I have a strange history with tolerating even something as simple as multi-vits or single vits -despite my trying of various formulations and preparations.

So...I'm thinking maybe taking it to the lowest amount of "additions" may be the way to go for now.

Thanks for posting to me. Hope things are going well for you.

HI, Once again my "Twin"!
I'm going through the same thing. I've had to cut back on everything I'm taking. Back to very basic supplements (like Vit C!).
I think we may have bodies that do not adapt well (?).

I tried Inositol for a few days, had a GREAT sleep and some calm days, but then developed a HUGE headache! Stopped the inositol, and the headache stopped.
I'm getting very tired of this "2 steps foward, 1 back" theme. It seems my body will sometimes respond well to something I try, then I'll either get side effects, or the new addition will stop working. I have to spend days figuring out if it's the amount, the combination, or just an illness........Grrrrrrr!
Sorry your rough patch continues. I have no advice
except to monitor everything you put into your body and your response.

What are you taking now?

I fervently hope that this ongoing science experiment we're involved in will come to a conclusion soon!
Warmest wishes,
Jas

I take vitamin holidays. I think it can keep you from getting dependent/tolerant.
