Lar,

Do you take a trace mineral daily supplement? If so, what brand(s) do you like?

How bad is the pain these days? Is the surgery scheduled yet?

Kind Sir,

> Do you take a trace mineral daily supplement?

I take some separate/additional minerals these days, but you have a knack for drawing my attention to the subject, and giving it some though. The ultra-trace minerals are not represented. Things like vanadium. Hmmmm.

My regular multivitamin/mineral is good in all other respects. I use a local brand, one you'd never have heard of, Swiss Herbals. I beef it up with single minerals.

> If so, what brand(s) do you like?

On the single minerals, whatever chelated or fully soluble salt is cheap/on special. My Scots heritage might possibly, one day, be thought of as a health factor in and of itself. Cheap stuff is cheap stuff. I do tend to have a soft spot for Source Naturals brand.

> How bad is the pain these days?

Thanks for asking. I've moderately reduced the oxycodone, and the gabapentin seems to help a lot. Overall, I'm doing much better. It's isn't like I'm stuck with this nuisance pain-generating appendage all the time. I'm starting to think of it as an arm again.

> Is the surgery scheduled yet?

Nope. He only books a month or two at a time, and all they can say is I didn't get on the last lists. I suppose that lets him rejig the lists a bit by prioritizing, but I dunno. They might just not want the hassle.

Ronny boy, how are *you*? Your brief forays into Babbledom these days, you're not your old self. Are you all right?

Lar,

Sorry to take a few days to get back to you.

Thanks for your reply regarding trace minerals.

> Ronny boy, how are *you*? Your brief forays into Babbledom these days, you're not your old self. Are you all right?

You read between the lines very well. I'm in trouble. For the past 4.5 months I've been taking a very low dose of Adderall XR as tx for the atypical depressive phase of my bipolar disorder. I'll not bore you with a lot of detail. Instead, the bottom line is that although the low dose Adderall add-on provided benefit for a few months, at the end of the day it turned against me.

Currently I'm going through withdrawal and, as a result, my brain chemistry is all screwed up. This too shall pass, but I'm growing weary. The biggest problem that I'm facing is that I have a few projects that need to be done yesterday, but I can't even function. This too shall pass.

Thanks for caring, Lar. I consider you a friend. When I get well and get my projects under control, I'd like to chat with your about a couple topics (Selegiline and trace minerals).

BP II and OCPD

600 mg/day Lithobid

900 mg/day Trileptal

50 mg/day Lamictal (level limited by rash)

Have you tried selegiline? Siberian ginseng?

We are on the same wavelength. I am sorry I didn't respond in a more timely fashion. I am spread mighty thin, these days.

I hope you're hanging in there, dude.

Take care, man.
