Has anyone heard of "True Hope" or used EMPower Plus vitamin therapy? I've heard claims of it being like "a miracle cure" for various mental illnesses. I'm dubious of those kinds of claims, so I'd like to see if anyone has had any actual experience with it. Thanks! Neal

That's a new one to me. I'm into Melaleuca. Took Shaklee before that. Look it up on the Web. Fondly, Phillipa

Its basically just a high dose vitamin supplement. And I think as such, they need to list the ingredients.
I am leary of it too.

Yes I took EMPower and it didn't help. I think taking my version of supplement is better. I am reading a book about healing your depression naturally and depending on what symptoms you suffer from, you take different nutrients. I totally believe in it though. EMPower was developed by some Canadian Pig farmers in Alberta. They noticed that when they gave their pigs a certain mixture of nutrient that they were calmer. One of the farmers had a bipolar son and a daughter with schizophrenia. Their mother had committed suicide. So he made up a concoction for his kids and it worked. It took a lot of trial and error of course, but that is how it was developed. He worked with scientist.
Oddly enough it's not allowed in Canada! It's not approved. Shipments have been stopped at border.
Anyhow that about it.

I go in phases where sometimes I want to take vitamins. The problem is, that not after long I drive myself mad with which vitamins I think I need. Eventually I give up the whole idea is a frenzied resolution and go back to just medications.
I wish I could find a doctor that knew both the natural stuff and the pharmacudical stuff, and how to maximize the best of both worlds.

You can read about the whole story to this here: Vitamin Cure: Can common nutrients curb violent tendencies and dispel clinical depression?http://www.moodfoods.com/supplements/vitamin.html
The bottom of this link includes comments from people who have used it: http://www.mcmanweb.com/article-113.htm That site's owner, McMan also rec'd a response from one of the critics on the Net, Dr. Terry Polevoy which he rebuts.
My impression is that there's nothing in that formula that we couldn't put together ourselves, but perhaps one reason it's expensive is that most people wouldn't bother or know where to begin.
