Hello everyone,
Ive spent five years with post viral CFS. Ive found the best treatment is getting a good nights sleep and treating myself for undermethylation.
Im interested in peoples thoughts on my supplementation and how it could be improved.
1) My sleep = OK now I take benadryl every second night (works well), I rotate with Phenergan
2) I take an antioxidant for obvious reasons
3) SAMe works the best for depression and focus but poops out if I use for too long. The Sam is esp effective if I take with St Johns Wort. I was alternating with 5htp/LPhenylalanine but found that this combo wasnt doing much for me
4) I have recently added DHEA (Keto) which I plan on taking every day
5) I will alternate between NADH and co-Q10 (also started taking)
I dont take benzos as they dont give me a refreshing nights sleep
I ve read that Methionine works well for undermethylated indivuals (who I consider myself).
Anyone tried Methionine?
Does anyone have feedback regarding whether all of the above is overkill? If anyone thinks they have any other advice then Im all ears.
Thanks,
John G

Perhaps trimethylglycine if undermethylation is the problem. It's cheap. You're not taking that much stuff. What about deprenyl/selegeline, 2mg/day. Might help with energy. I think there's some problem taking lots of methionine, I forget. What about making sure you eat enough good quality protein? What do you think of NADH? Have you had a hormone profile done?

Isn't Methionine for people with high levels of histamine in their body? You could get that checked first.

The sublingual form of deprenyl looks interesting? Is it available in the usa or australia?

I have a protein shake every day which helps alot

My energy levels have gone through the roof and my brainfog has vanished!
