I was wondering if these are safe to take together? Or even if it was safe to take SJW + Ginko. I asked the pharmacist who said it wasn't, but after searching the archives, there seem to be people who do take SJW and ginko.
I would also like to try siberian ginseng, but again I don't know if its compatible with the SJW.
Its quite annoying because if these were conventional drugs then were would be clear contraindications on the box etc. My box of Kira SJW doesn't even suggest that it can be used for depression!!
Kind regards
Meri

SJW is often combined with gingko esp in older pople. Some noticed a more destinct AD response, but I don't know about adding the ginsing. That may be too much. I don't know if the literature exists on such.

Hi Link, thanks for the post.
I think SJW and ginseng would be a good combo - most of my episodes were triggered by a stressful event. Have you ever tried ginseng (siberian or otherwise)? I also hope that it will combat the fatigue that I have.
I found this interesting SJW site -- http://www.sjwinfo.org/

> xCayenne supplements have been shown to greatly enhance the effect of ginkgo (among other things) when taken simultaneously. Cayenne increases circulation and has been labeled by some as a "Carrier Herb" meaning it increases effects of other herbs. Funny that its called a carrier herb seeing as that Cayenne is a pepper.
