Well well its somehow :S but also *horray* :D
Some might know me and might be interested in this. (maybe)
I made an allergy test.
It was just an ordinary standard test to screen for the most likely allergies. Anyway, thats all I can get from my insurance. Were about 40 things or so.But, I am very suprised that I have a clear allergic reaction to chicken ?! (actuall I like chicken..) and to various nuts (And I actually like them too )
I dont experience any immediate allergic reaction or a worsening of depression if I eat these things.Well well, I just avoid that stuff in the future. I will also try to stop coffee. I suspect theres something wrong too, because I am getting really crap when I dring fresh coffee. I can only tolerate instant coffee (powder). But Maybe I will do without coffee at all. I will try some caffeine tabs instad of my morning cup.
Same with beer. regular one (barley) makes me worse, while the ones made from wheat, are ok.
But anyway. I am not bad at the moment.

well out of curiosity, I did some kind of do it yourself allergy test :O
I did it "like they did". I compared regular beer versus wheat beeer and water and alkohol. I put a drop of each on the inner side of my arm, wrote some marks on my skin and used sterile needles make soe little wounds.... well barley beer caused a red spot, while wheat beer didnt make a spot at all (except the little wound of course) .... tada tada :) I could see a clear difference after ~5 minutes
I am really thinking about changin my diet completely and see how it goes
and a little disclaimer: ... maybe I did make big mistakes.. Maybe I am an idiot ... so dont treat such an approach as reliable allery test ... ;) mkay ?
bye

This made me laugh. Not at you, but at the sheer audacity to just go for it. I have no idea if that would be an effective test, but it is kind of how they do it.
I've found that peanuts eaten daily, like pb&j sandwiches, or reeses peanutbutter cups will eventually cause bad stomach symptoms. I don't know if this qualifies as an allergy, but now i restrict it to a rare treat.
So I want to say good for you for taking your health into your own hands. that is the spirit of alternative medicine to me.
