Best Form/Brand of Kava?

Posted by Tom Twilight on March 21, 2006, at 16:03:36

Kava Kava is one of the few herbs that I have lot of respect for

The problem with Kava is finding a form/brand that actually works.
Raw kava is horrible to work with, Alcohol extracts of Kava also make me feel nasty.

The GAIA brand of Kava capsules help a little, but there really expensive.

Anything else out there?
Concectrated extract?
Any thoughts

www.konakavafarm.com

I see lots of people write positive stuff about their products and you can get kava in plenty of different forms there.

Failing that the eclectic institute nakamal kava looks good on www.iherb.com

Average Assay: 76.5 mg Kavalactones per capsule.

I think from memory an effective dosage is 75mg to 150mg of Kavalactones. Don't pay attention to the percentage but pay attention to the actual listed amount of Kavalactones. Percentage is misleading when looking at Kava products.

I've never tried a decent brand of Kava and I won't be able to until the UK food administration lift the ban.

A while back we had an expo in our city and there was all this raw kava from Fiji. It came in these packets the size of your hand. We mixed a few with water and drank them. Certainly disinhibiting, numb lips and a taste you don't easily forget 20 years later.
