Hi folks! I have several questions regarding this supplement. Please advise, if you can.
1)I'm using Solary caplets, and they have an extremely acrid/sour taste to them when they hit the tongue. They are a little bit old, but not expired yet (I think they expire this month, actually). Has anyone had this experience?
2) Should this supplement be taken specifically with a carbohydrate? Or with food in general?
3) What's the deal with alcohol consumption while using 5-htp?
4) Are there any significant interactions/side effects that you have experienced?
I went off SSRI's about 5 months back and would love to get my serotonin back up without going on drugs again. I figure I'll give this a go. I may also combine the 5-htp with SAMe (SAMe in the morning, 5-htp at night). Any thoughts? Thanks!
