Fish Oil Storage

Posted by saturn on July 7, 2007, at 6:31:10

Hi.

Does anyone know if fish oil capsules can be effectively stored in the refrigerator for several months, or would there be too much condensation?

If so, could they simply be stored in a refrigerator for a few months and then taken out for use several hours later?

Thanks...Peace...Saturn.

My endocrinologist recommends storing them in the freezer.

I don't see any reason you couldn't. Or even freeze it. I keep my liquid fish oil in the fridge, and take a slug of it straight out of the bottle. There is no need to take it out of the fridge to warm it up first for your capsules.

Wouldn't they stick together?

The gelcaps? I don't see why they would. Are yours wet or something?
