I know this sounds really strange, but from my delving into energy medicine, I have discovered that wearing gold can help with over-excitation. It can be calming to wear gold. It's not psychological. It really has an effect on an over-stimulated mind, but don't take my word for it. Try it. I wear a very thin box-chain of 14kt gold because I cannot tolerate a very heavy chain. A very heavy chain makes me feel too calm, bordering on lethargic. I know this sounds weird. It sounds like fringe science, and it probably is, but it helps me. I wear the gold chain for about an hour or two each day, then I take it off for the rest of the day. It seems to calm my mind. I must also tell you that I take a lot of vitamins for my depression. This is a must. But sometimes, if the vitamins give me too much energy, wearing the gold seems to balance out that energy, and as a result, I feel more calm. Try it. It's pseudo-science, but wearing gold does have an effect on your mind. I thought it was just a placebo effect, but time and time again, when I wear it I feel calm, and my energy levels seem to be more balanced. I wrote a post about it awhile ago, but didn't get much feedback about it. A few years ago, I had really delved into energy medicine and the effect that gemstones and crystals had on the mind and body. To this day, I believe it is NOT a placebo effect, but it is also not completely reliable. It is fringe, and we don't know everything about energy medicine and how to control it for precision therapy. I will say that gemstones and crystals can affect the mind in different ways. However, out of all the stones I've tried, I love gold the best because of its energy balancing properties.

I continuously wear gold rings, bracelet but am still experiencing anxiety. What about those that stand and do energy work on the body. Phillipa

You know, an herbalist I highly respect claims that magnets are very powerful therapy, especially for physical pain. I have a hard time believing that, but it's not like I have the experience to back up my doubts. Good on ya for being open minded enough to try it out.

I find that the amount of gold you wear has an effect on the excitation. Too much and you're too calm. You have to experiment to determine how many carats you can tolerate. The important thing is to not wear it continuously. What I discovered is that I wear it for an hour or two each day, and then remove it for the rest of the day. This is when it begins to help with excitation or overstimulation. It might be best to wear a necklace around your neck rather than a ring or bracelet because the necklace is closer to your higher chakra points and the energy of a necklace is constantly radiating. I know this sounds weird. I'm not saying it is going to be extremely helpful to you, but I'm just documenting my experience with gold. Of course, other activities or supplements you take are going to affect your energy levels. And even though energy medicine is rather a pseudo-science, I find it interesting that for some people it actually works!!

Try chains of varying carat weight. A real heavy chain induces more calm than a lighter chain. This has been my experience. Today, however, I decided not to wear gold, just trying to go it with vitamins. Depending on the person, the gold could make you feel energetic or calm. In my case, it makes me feel more calm and balanced. But like I said, it's pseudo-science. We don't fully understand energy medicine and its relation to the chakra points. It's not always reliable or consistent, but there is something to it, not just psychological.

The gold is working for excessive energy due to the vitamins I take. Years ago, my biggest problem was having low mental energy, but recently my regimen allows me ample mental energy, and sometimes it seems is a little too overstimulating. That's where the gold comes in. It seems to balance the excessive energy caused by the supplements. It works every time. The gold must be used in the form of a necklace to effect the higher chakras. I use a very thin box chain with a tiny gold crucifix. I put it on for an hour or two each morning, and then take it off for the rest of the day. I don't know why this works, but it does. If you have low mental energy, the gold would be detrimental. It's just good for balancing excessive energy in the mind. I have worn it for extended periods of time, like say if I had to socialize, and it makes a difference in anxiety levels, but you still need to take your supplements to feel better. Wearing the gold with B6 or B3 may be good for anxiety levels. I'm hoping someone else out there will attest to this strange phenomenon of wearing gold. I don't believe it's all in my mind. It is said to help balance both hemispheres of the brain, and it may affect the higher chakras like the brow chakra or the crown chakra. It has been very helpful to me, but like I said, I wouldn't use gold unless your mental energy is adequate because the gold could potentially make you feel more lethargic. A heavy chain is not necessary. In fact, I have a $400 rope chain, which is beautiful, but its energy is too much for me to handle. That much gold seems to make me tired if I wear it for any length of time. Now, I have schizophrenia, and my higher chakras may be out of balance, and so the gold may balance them. Therefore, I'm not saying this will work for everyone. I have tried with so many supplements to balance my energy levels. I just couldn't. I either wound up with lower energy or too much energy, but the gold has a way of balancing the energy. As to how it does that I have no idea, but I admit, it's an interesting and useful discovery.

This is interesting. I might have to try it out one day. Thanks for sharing your experience Lao.
