Pot ingested vs. inhaled?

Posted by former poster on October 13, 2010, at 2:48:01

I have a friend that likes to add it to soup while in his native country where it is legal. I'm amazed he is doing well. Could it be the smoking of the cannabis that causes some of the negative effects?

I would think that smoking it would create free radicals, through burning the pot...that would lead to potential lung problems, if you're a heavy pot smoker.

Eating it seems like it would let it be absorbed more slowly, which would also let the user adjust the amount used ; I would think (but I don't know) that eating instead of smoking might reduce the risk of anxiety and paranoia reactions.
