Hey.
Has Devil's Claw been a suspect in any sleep disruptions?
Any contraindications with maoi (Emsam)?
Any overly stimulating qualities (like ginseng. I try to be conservative,)
So far 5-loxin has helped my lower back immensely.
I have read that Devil's Claw is indicated for more generalized pain conditions.
Any info appreciated. Thank you.

FB herbs in and of themselves can be dangerous not saying this is as avoid them. But I don't think I'd try them while on an Maoi in particular. Phillipa

But Phillipa, Boswellia does not interfere. And it helps. I need to ask and read up about herbs. Most are actually contraindicated for me in one way or another, be it sleep, tolerability, or, now, maoi on top.
That said, devil's claw could be o.k. I have read it might be indicated for pain that is more neuropathic than OA pain (which the 5-loxin is helping with).
Besides, it took me a year to add the Boswellia in the form of 5-loxin. I am not built for speed.
Thanks for looking out for me :-)

So now I best google as I know the 5loxin which never heard of either is helping with the pain. I wish Lar would weigh in on this he's good with this stuff. Love Phillipa ps sorry I'm a dope!!!!

Phillipa, you're just as silly as the next person, not a dope. You're my friend and just watching out for me. I had no idea 5-loxin was Boswellia until sigi mentioned it on this board.
For all I know, devils claw can be as contraindicated as SamE for me or cucurim (no sleep on that one!)
You're a great friend.

Corydlis is a herb used in TCM for pain which would probably NOT be OK with MAOIs. It does something with dopamine. If you take a lot of it, you can get very restless in that EPS kind of way. Other than that, it is pretty good stuff.
I think Devil's Claw grows in the drier country here. The photo at the very bottom looks familiar.
