Just saying that this is the case for me.
Where would i be without this.. it is huge how much of a difference it makes to just (almost utterly) cut out suicide thoughts from ones mind.
I encourage you to try it. I am taking 10mg elementar lithium, or 125mg of Lithium orotate.
There are no drawbacks.

I apologize for my mistake. Its 250mg Lithium orotate.
And i still scream for an edit function, while simultaneously spamming the forum.

I agree, at least for me. Lithium helps with thoughts of death and suicidal ideation. It worked so quickly, I was amazed. It's not enough on it's own as an antidepressant, but I find lithium remarkable, and it's a foundational medication for me.
May I ask about your choice of lithium, meaning the orotate? I use extended release lithium carbonate. The instant release hurt my stomach, plus I think the longer acting is better for my mood.

What dosage are you taking?
I get 10mg elemental lithium (250mg orotate) and i have not found higher dosages to have any additional benefit.

I just discontinued 600 mg. I had tremors that I did not want anymore, so we'll see. My Li level was .6, barely therapeutic.

Id never take prescription Dose Lithium.
Too many side effects and risks.

I would take it again in a heartbeat if I had thoughts of death.

Certainly. Me too. But i came to think that a low dose is sufficient and that higher (prescription) doses have no additional benefit in terms of muting suicide thoughts.
For antimanic effects, maybe. But for depression and suicide thoughts: Not for me.
You may be different.
